AL AIN: UAE’s Al Ain is holding an engaging community event for anime and manga fans, titled ‘Anime Hub,’ until July 14, featuring stage performances, workshops, artist alleys, gaming tournaments, and cosplay competitions.
The event is organized by Artishia, an event company in Al Ain specializing in esports and anime. “The inspiration came from seeing these creative and talented people with their businesses and performances,” Shaikha Ahmed, Artishia’s founder, told Arab News Japan. “
“The main highlights were about different things, such as preparing the space for the business or the artist representative in a way that can show their talent, including amazing performances and active competitions on stage, managing contacts with the restaurants and cafes to participate in serving delicious food to the visitors,” she added.
Shaikha told Arab News Japan that the response from the visitors was overwhelming positive. “(Guests) were all excited and surprised with the theme and the organization of the event venue,” she said.
“They liked the performances and the competition where they could compete with their friends and win valuable prizes. Also, the atmosphere of the overall event was nice and they enjoyed the vibes,” she added.
Regarding their upcoming activities and events, Shaikha said, “We are organizing two types of events for now: one is for ladies only, which includes a lot of artists, businesses, and creative sections. The other type of event is the public one, which is for all people and families.”
