The International Photography Awards (IPA) proudly announces the winners of the “OneShot: Searching for Peace” Special Competition. This year’s contest saw remarkable submissions from across the globe in four categories: Calm in Conflict, Everyday Tranquility, Nature’s Serenity, and Peace Through My Eyes.
The Grand Winner, receiving a $2,500 cash prize, is Patryk Jaracz for his photograph “Kids learning how to ride a bicycle in the fields of Ukraine.” This image captivated the judges with its profound message and artistic brilliance. It portrays a poignant moment of tranquility amidst a war zone, delivering a powerful narrative of peace in unexpected places. Jury member Zhai Honggang, Director of SINA Images, remarked, “The stark contrast between war and running children is both cruel and hopeful.”
