As Vogue editors, we often wax poetic on the latest runway must-haves, but not every item we gush about on this website ultimately ends up in our closets and homes. Our discoveries are nice to behold—they’re lovely to look at and inspire fun conversation—however, of all the tempting things to buy, what did we actually end up purchasing? Each month we’ll highlight those special finds our editors welcomed into their lives—all the things that made us buyers rejoice.

Now that the weather in New York has finally transitioned to fall, I’ve been excited to start transitioning my footwear away from sandals. With that said, I’ve hopped on the flats trend and recently acquired these perfect black patent leather Mary Janes from Celine. They feel classic, and timeless and, not to mention, they’re immensely comfortable as well. Don’t hesitate to add these to your closet, immediately.

Knit season has finally arrived, so it’s time to swap your summery tank tops for cozy turtlenecks. This short-sleeve cashmere sweater by The Row will do the trick as we ease into chillier temperatures. I opted for the taupe colorway, but something tells me that the black version will end up in my wardrobe, too.

I’ve had my eye on Bottega Venetta’s Bunnie mule ever since I saw Yara Shahidi wear them early last summer. I finally got a chance to get my hands (or should I say feet), and they were so worth the wait. First, they are made with a super soft stretch leather that hugs your feet

I’ve been obsessed with the 1970s for fall (well, always), and I finally decided to purchase my first pair of flared jeans. I liked this Ernest W. Baker pair because they’re super streamlined and have more of a subtle flair—like dipping my toes into the look.

As the summer blues set in come September and the warm air turns crisp, new fashion finds spark joy for a non-fall lover like myself. At the top of my list this season is Dorothee Schumacher’s Sleek Statement jacket, an oversized biker silhouette that’s equal parts chic as it is practical. Not to mention, it instantly ups the cool factor of any look!

September was a footwear month for me! My two very opposite style personalities shine through via a very casual, rain-proof rubber clog and a very glam, but walkable ballet flat from Mango.

I borrowed these pants from NY-based designer Marina Moscone for a last-minute event I had during New York Fashion Week. I loved them so much, I had to buy them. They have the most perfect relaxed, tailored fit, and the cuff at the bottom makes them easy to wear day or night.

I have been searching for the perfect pair of brown loafers to wear this Autumn. While in Milan, I found the answer to my prayers. A shockingly comfortable and gorgeously crafted suede loafer from Bougeotte. After walking the city with absolutely no pain, I instantly ordered the heeled pair as well. I love an embellishment, and the tiny bee is a lovely addition to a classic shoe.

Okay—hear me out… It took me a whole summer to find the perfect pair of sandals, and these fisherman sandals by The Row are the perfect pair for the city. They’re comfortable to walk in, my feet aren’t too exposed, and I can wear them with or without socks (I know, socks with sandals aren’t for the faint of heart).

After scoring one from Wales Bonner for a great deal, I’ve been hunting for another pleated midi-length skirt. Aritzia has a ton of colorways in a variety of fabrics and price points. Emma Chamberlain has been partnering with them, and I’ll buy whatever she wears. On the other hand, entrepreneur and Instagram It girl Matilda Djerf came to town this past September to open her SoHo pop-up, and I couldn’t resist getting a few pieces from her new collection. I’ve bought some stuff from her during the pandemic and can say that even though her business has massively grown in the past few years, the quality remains superb.

I’m delighted to say I snagged the T-shirt of my dreams at Proud Mary Vintage in LA’s Highland Park neighborhood; it’s a plus-size vintage store primarily, where I also happened to come across the world’s best Ralph Laurens (though that’s a story for another day), but they also have a very cute line of handmade apparel, and this “Eat It” shirt spoke to my soul. It’s a joyful encouragement to eat cake, but it can also function as a rude rejoinder to my haters if need be.

I’ve been eyeing this knit Courrèges top all summer. With New York Fashion Week on the horizon, now felt like a good time to press purchase. I will also be sporting these crystal-embellished mesh ballet flats by Khaite, which add a whole new level of sparkle to comfort dressing.

We covered the very chic collaboration between Reformation and Laura Vassar (formerly of Brock Collection) earlier this summer but I only just now got my hands on the Derby Dress—buyer’s rejoice indeed! It’s made of a thick linen blend with ample volume and zero flimsiness. Plus, the fuller skirt gives the dress a polished, hourglass silhouette, yet the whole look is relaxed and unfussy. It’s a hard balance! Leave it to Vassar to achieve it.

One of my favorite times of year is when the U.S. Open comes around in New York. During this year’s opening night matches, not only was I treated to a win by Coco Gauff and a surprise guest appearance by Michelle Obama, but I picked up a few ace-worthy mementos too.

I’ve already bought this Cos lightweight knit top in 4 colors and I plan to collect them all. It’s the perfect layering piece and has just a hint of sheerness when worn alone for an elevated T-shirt look.

As the summer began to set on August, I turned to SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker to keep the season alive with a pair of the Tartt mary-janes favored by Sarah Jessica herself. Selecting the Tartt Pierce style—a modern fairy tale of a pump in glossy white patent leather—its chunky heel effortlessly elevated my style while keeping my feet gloriously grounded. I also fell in love with Tory Burch’s jacquard-print dress with its kicky pleats and stylized polo top that ended up pairing perfectly with the cut-out pattern in my SJPs. Together, this fabulous duo became my love letter to August that promises to carry me through the golden days autumn and beyond.

It feels like I’ve been on the go, go, go all summer, so I’m welcoming fall with open arms—I am eager to slow things down a bit. Ahead of September, I’m looking for cozy, everyday wear I can feel grounded in and no brand does it better than MoPQ, honestly. I love the rich chocolate hue on this crewneck, and its on-the-nose logo provides a little respite during the hustle and bustle of the city.

I’m excited to uplift my dark fall outfits with a bright pop of red. And these shoes instantly melted my slingback-loving heart when I first saw them. Imagine how magical they’ll make simple jeans and T-shirt-moment look or styling them with an oversized white shirtdress. I can’t wait!

I’ve been on the hunt for a sleek everyday watch, and Fossil’s Raquel model ticks all my boxes. Petite, rectangle face, and gold links that feel comfortable on the wrist. It feels like a timeless addition to my bracelet stack. A great option for someone, like me, looking for an affordable timepiece to start their collection. Next, I’m absolutely obsessed with fancy flats—the metallic and embellished ones currently have my attention. Shopping the Mango rhinestone ballerinas before they inevitably sell out was a no-brainer.

I can’t believe it took nearly all summer to find the perfect pair of strappy sandals. (But I’m so glad I finally did!) I’ve been using every excuse to wear this pair from Dolce Vita to work or out with friends—they’re comfortable, chic, and give me a little pep in my step.

I’m always looking for ways to elevate my go-to outfit formulas and when it comes to going-out tops, this Tae Park piece did just that. It’s a highly versatile top that works perfectly with jeans if you’re going for a more casual look, but can also be worn with a skirt and heel of choice for formal occasions. My favorite part about this top is that it can be tied in a few different ways, making the styling possibilities endless.

As amazing as the experience is, globetrotting through Italy over the course of eight days is not for the faint of heart. From flights to trains and everything in between, myself, and my trusty sidekick, Calpak’s Amber luggage, were lucky enough to see the best of Milan, Rome, Naples, and the Amalfi Coast this month. Having luggage that is lightweight, chic, and spacious (though dangerous for an over-packer like myself) with a hard outer shell made the hustle and bustle of traveling a breeze!

It’s taken me a while to find TRULY comfortable Mary Janes, but these are them—so soft and light, great with jeans, and I think I could go for a run in them (if I ever went for runs).

I broke my no-shopping challenge to buy this Damson Madder dress that I’ve had my eye on for a while. I’ve been obsessed with bows like every other Gen-Z’er and I’m so excited to style this dress this upcoming fall with some cute kitten heels! These DMY by DMY sunglasses have also been another favorite of mine this month. The shape is so flattering for all face shapes and all the cool fashion girls like Gigi and Kendall are wearing them!

I am a bonafide hot yoga fanatic which means that I need barely-there, breathable outfits to withstand the 100-degree heat that I subject myself to each week. So when I was given a gift card to Tracksmith I knew this matching set was perfect for a fall yoga wardrobe refresh. Not a matching-set person? Not to worry—these come in a multitude of colors. And try hot yoga sometimes if you’re not already obsessed! I’m a Core Power girl myself.

For no reason, I never got on the Nap dress train but I recently scooped up a Nap skirt and I’m a convert. There’s a thick band of smocking at the waist, which allows for maximum comfort and the ability to make the skirt high or low-waist (it molds to your figure!). Plus, it’s made from a very crisp cotton and it’s lined for added polish. I own lots of black midiskirts but this is one I haven’t wanted to stop wearing this summer—to the beach, to the office, it’s very versatile, depending on what you couple it with. My colleague Madeline Fass has one in white that carried her through a recent European holiday. So consider this two Vogue editors with buyer’s rejoice!

I was all about “high summer, high fashion” in July. Im obsessed with this beautifully embroidered dress by Farm Rio—The shade is the ultimate summer neutral that pairs with just about anything. I also saw this perfectly minimalist bag on The RealReal and couldn’t pass it up. I’ve been in dire need of a new work tote that comfortably fits my laptop and day-to-day essentials, and the shape is just right. You’ll find me carrying this to and from the office and beyond all throughout fall!

I bought this white denim skirt from Raey and it has been my ultimate summer wardrobe staple ever since. Style it with a tank, bodysuit, suit vest—you name it. Admittedly, I’ve worn this multiple times over the last few weeks to the office, to dinner, out to a birthday celebration, and more. It’s cool, comfortable, and under $300; it’s worth every cent.

I accidentally left my Szade Sharp shades at the office for a single weekend and missed them so much that I’m buying another pair now, and I don’t feel guilty about having a backup because the frames are made from recycled materials and I wear them every single day. I’m channeling my years working at a nightclub (Sway Sundays forever!) for summer style and layering mesh pieces from my favorite Ukrainian brand, Zhilyova, with paper-thin rocker babe tees (this Zadig & Voltaire one is shockingly flattering) and, of course, sunglasses 24/7.

The bad news is summer is halfway over. So, it’s time to wear out your nautical prints, bold colors, and raffia accessories. The good news is there are loads of summer sales to shop, and I found a few fabulous pieces like this hot-pink Loewe belt, Chloé bucket hat, and an A.P.C. striped cashmere sweater that will refresh my warm-weather wardrobe before autumn arrives. Sigh.

As summer reaches its zenith, I find myself drawn to pieces that blend style with comfort—plus, who can resist a little playful elegance? Enter Zankov’s joyful Aimé green dress: Crafted from a breezy cotton blend, it’s pure happiness to wear. And when paired with a sparkly Stella McCartney bag that I nabbed on sale in sunshiney yellow, it’s a look that transitions from halcyon afternoons to breezy dinners, offering the full sweep of summer in a single, striking look.
