Diwali is one of the biggest festivals celebrated all across India. Known as the festival of lights, people celebrate it by decorating their houses with diyas and lights, while also giving all kinds of gifts to their loved ones. Many companies also provide gifts to their employees on the auspicious occasion like incentives, sweets, clothing etc. However, a tea estate owner in Kotagiri town, Nilgiri district in Tamil Nadu, has taken a generous approach by gifting Royal Enfield and Jawa bikes to his employees this Diwali.
P. Sivakumar, the owner of a 190-acre tea estate, gifted 15 motorcycles to his employees including the likes of Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Royal Enfield Classic 350, Royal Enfield Himalayan as well as Jawa 42 Bobber. “We were never expecting this type of gift. You can see there are so many bikes behind us. He gifted around 15 Royal Enfield bikes, whichever we prefer. It is something that I believe nobody will get it, but we got it. We are blessed by his work and the team work,” said an employee.
Sivakumar also went on a joyride with his employees on the new bikes after handing over the keys. In a similar act, a pharmaceutical company had gifted Tata cars to 12 of its employees a few days back. MK Bhatia, the owner of Mits Healthcare, dubbed the hard-working employees ‘stars’ and ‘celebrities’ of the company. The owner also revealed that he will soon be giving cars to additional 38 ‘stars’ of his company.
