BMW’s record-breaking growth in India: EV leadership maintained | TOI Auto
BMW has announced that the upcoming 2024 5 Series Touring will be exclusive to the European, Japanese and Taiwanese markets. The new BMW 5 Series sedan and the new i5 sedan have already been launched in South Korea, while the first vehicles will be delivered to customers in Germany from October 21, 2023. The market launch also begins in other European countries on the same day. One week later, on October 28, 2023, the new edition of the BMW 5 Series will make its road debut in the USA, while other global markets will follow in November.
The all-electric BMW i5 will be available in two variants – eDrive40 and M60 xDrive. The former features a power output of up to 340 hp and a range of 498 to 582 km as per the WLTP test cycle. The top model has a peak power output of 601 hp from its dual electric motor setup with all-wheel drive. Apart from the electric powertrains, petrol, plug-in hybrid, and diesel options will also be available on the estate version of the BMW 5 Series, set to arrive next year.
