Hero MotoCorp, one of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers in India, is gearing up to launch the 2024 Hero Destini 125, expected to hit the showrooms in September. In fact, the company has recently filed a design patent for the scooter, which reveals key cosmetic updates. At present, the Destini 125, priced from just Rs 71,500, ex-showroom, is the most affordable 125 cc scooter in India.Here, let’s take a look at what to expect from the upcoming 2024 Destini 125.

While specific details about the scooter’s features and specifications are still under wraps, the patent images reveal the design changes of the scooter. The image shows a revamped rear and side profile of the model, featuring a sleek, curved tail light. Above the tail lamp, like before, it gets the fuel filler cap, albeit with a refreshed design. Besides that, we can see a sturdy grab rail and a pillion backrest. It is likely to come equipped with all-LED lighting and a small glove box as well.

While details regarding the features and engine are not known, the new Destini 125 could come equipped with telescopic forks, a rear monoshock, and a front disc brake with a drum or disc setup at the rear. Other notable features may include a USB charging port, a Bluetooth-enabled fully digital display with turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts and more.
Regarding the engine, it’s uncertain whether Hero will make any updates. The current-gen Hero Destini comes with a 124.6cc, air-cooled engine producing 9 hp at and 10.4 Nm of peak torque. Upon launch, the model will lock horns against the likes of Suzuki Access 125, TVS Jupiter 125, and Honda Activa 125 among others.
