2024 Hyundai Creta crosses one lakh sales in six months: Decoding success

Hyundai Motor India today announced that the 2024 Hyundai Creta SUV has crossed the one lakh sales milestone in the Indian market. The mid-size SUV was launched in India in January 2024, which means that it managed to achieve the feat in just six months since its arrival. The company also said that over 550 Creta’s were sold per day in the last six months and the company has also sold over 10 lakh units since its first launch in India in 2015.

So what really stood out for the Hyundai Creta? As a package, Creta is a value-for-money offering and gets smart, premium looks with a good road presence.Mainly, it offers so many premium features such as Level-2 ADAS, twin digital screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps, ventilated seats, leatherette seat upholstery, onboard air purifier, electronic parking brake, two-step adjustable rear seat backrest, pillows for the rear seat headrests, rear sunshades, Bose sound system, connected car tech and much more.

The SUV doesn’t just get good features, it gets many safety features too which include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), all-wheel disc brakes, 3-point seatbelts with a reminder for all passengers, ABS with EBD, Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as standard across all variants. Additionally, top-spec variants get radar and camera-based ADAS features such as auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane keep assist and much more.

The SUV is also available in both petrol and diesel engine options along with a wide range of transmission choices. A 115 hp, 144 Nm 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, a 116 hp, 250 Nm 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine, and a new 160 hp, 253 Nm turbo petrol engine. Gearbox options include a 6-speed MT, iMT, CVT (iVT), 6-speed AT, and a 7-speed DCT.
