Let’s let’s talk about variants and pricing, The new Maruti Suzuki Swift is offered in five variants – LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi plus and ZXI Plus DT with prices ranging from Rs 6.49 lakh to 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom). Talking about the Citroen C3, it’s offered in Live, Feel, Shine and Shine DT with prices ranging from 6.2 lakh to 9 lakh (ex-showroom).
Talking about the dimensions, the Swift measures 3860 mm in length, 1735 mm in width, 1520 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2450 mm. The Citroen C3 measures 3981 mm in length, 1733 mm in width, and 1604 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2540 mm. The Citroen C3 marginally measures more than the new Swift and also it has 180 mm of ground clearance with 315 litres of boot space. The new Swift has a ground clearance of 163 mm and a boot space of 265 litres.
Now comparing the engines, the new Swift is powered by an all-new Z-Series, 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine which puts out 82 hp of power and 112 nm of torque. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual or an AMT. The new Swift has claimed fuel efficiency of 24.8 kmpl for the MT variants and 25.75 kmpl for AMT. As of now, the Swift is not available with CNG option.

The Citroen C3 is offered in two engine options – 82 bhp, 115 nm, 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine with a five-speed manual gearbox and a 108 bhp, 190 nm, 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a six-speed manual. The C3 also is not offered with a CNG powertrain, but it gets an all-electric variant called eC3. The eC3 is powered by a 29.2 kWh battery pack paired with a PMSM electric motor which puts out 57 hp of power and 143 nm torque. It has a claimed range of 320 km on one full charge.
Talking about the features and safety, the Citroen C3 gets halogen headlights with LED DRLs, halogen fog lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster, manual AC, a four-speaker sound system, electrically adjustable ORVMs, a rear parking camera, day/night IRVM, rear wiper and washer, rear skid plates, a rear defogger, connected car tech and more.
Compared to the Citroen C3, the new Swift is feature-packed. In terms of safety, the new Swift gets six airbags, ESP, hill hold control, and a three-point seatbelt standard across all variants. The C3 too gets six airbags, ISOFIX seat anchorage and rear seatbelt reminder, ABS with EBD, TPMS and hill hold assist.
