The Lincoln Navigator, one of the old guards of the full-size luxury SUV segment, is getting a new lease on life. Lincoln redesigned its biggest model for 2025, and it’s probably the most luxurious the Navigator has ever been.
Outside, the design is fresh but familiar. There’s a new grille with an LED light bar that runs the width of the front fascia. Like most luxury vehicles now, Lincoln says this light bar does a sequential dance on approach, lighting from the center outward in a feature called Lincoln Embrace. Chrome and satin aluminum trim elements add to the luxurious look. Around back, full-width tail lamps and 3D badging round out the rear tailgate, which also gets a new feature called Lincoln Split Gate.
This feature allows the Navigator’s rear tailgate to split open, with the top half opening upward and a lower panel opening down, which the brand says allows for easier loading or turns the back into a nice seating area. The split gate can also be programmed to open when the owner approaches the Navigator. There’s also massive wheel choices, with the standard wheels measuring 22 inches and 24s available as an option.
The interior of the 2025 Navigator sees the biggest changes. There’s now a 48-inch panoramic display that runs the full width of the dashboard, plus an additional touchscreen lower down in the center of dash. Lincoln calls its new infotainment system the Lincoln Digital Experience. Google Assistant is built in, as well as standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While in park, there are even more features for passengers on the right-hand display. You can browse the Google Play Store for apps or even play games, listen to music and podcasts, or use productivity apps with the screen’s Pano Mode.
The other usual luxury car features are standard, like heating and cooling for the front seats, a 24-way adjustable driver’s seat, a 28-speaker Revel Ultima 3D Audio System, and 14 USB ports throughout the interior. Owners will also get a four year complimentary subscription to BlueCruise hands free driving.
Lincoln says the new Navigator is all about creating a relaxing experience for drivers and passengers, as you can tell from the new Lincoln Rejuvenate feature that turns the Navigator into “a spa on wheels.” It helps reduce stress levels by automatically adjusting the climate control, interior lighting, and seat massaging settings all while showing calming visuals that are supposed to help you relax. There are even piped-in scents that help the interior smell relaxing. To top it all off, the Navigator comes preloaded with three relaxation modes that were developed in conjunction with the Calm meditation app, as well as a complementary year subscription to the app.
Owners will also get to choose their theme of luxury with two new Black Label packages. In addition to the existing Invitation theme, there’s Enlighten, which Lincoln describes as “ the beauty of a sunrise and the dawn of a new day” with warm colors and accents, and Atmospheric, which is described as being inspired by the color of a stormy day. The latter is also the first Black Label model to get Bronze accents on the grille, exterior trim and 24-inch wheels.
With all the new design and features, the 2025 Navigator’s powertrain is a carryover. The same twin-turbo 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 that the Navigator has been using since 2015 sticks around, making 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. It puts that power down through a standard four-wheel-drive system.
Lincoln isn’t talking pricing just yet; we’ll know closer to its on sale date. The 2025 Lincoln Navigator is scheduled to hit dealers next spring.
