A 34-year-old Toronto man is charged with murder after a shooting last month in Greektown.

Officers responded on July 23 to reports of gunfire in the Danforth-Carlaw Aves. area, Toronto Police said in news release. Police said that there was an altercation involving several people, a firearm was discharged and a man was struck by a projectile.

Shamar Powell-Flowers, 29, of Toronto was attended to at the scene before being taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
