Abrams has unveiled the full lineup for their return to San Diego Comic-Con 2023, featuring convention exclusives, author signings, early releases, and an impressive eleven panels. The publisher’s various imprints, including Abrams ComicArts, Megascope, Surely Books, and Amulet, will all be represented at SDCC ’23.
Here is the schedule of panels:
– Marvel Classics for the Next Generation and Fans: This panel introduces the joy and nostalgia of classic Marvel comics to a new generation, featuring author Mike Maihack and other industry professionals.
– Bill Griffith Spotlight: Renowned comic creator Bill Griffith discusses his long career in comics and his upcoming graphic biography, “Three Rocks”, in conversation with Matt Groening.
– Doom Guy: The Man, the Myth, the Legend: John Romero, the godfather of first-person shooter games, shares stories from his new memoir and discusses his influential career in game development.
– Mike Maihack on “Familiar Faces”: This panel explores the use of high-profile graphic novels to introduce readers to books, featuring Mike Maihack and other creators.
– Nidhi Chanani on “Wish They All Could be CA MCs”: California-based creators discuss their stories set in the Golden State.
– F. C. Yee on “Fantastic Adventures”: Creators of graphic novels discuss exercising imaginations and engaging passions through storytelling.
– Laini Taylor & Jim Di Bartolo on “Adventures for the Next Generation”: This panel discusses the power and joy of crafting strong heroines for future generations.
– The Vibrant World of tokidoki: An exploration of the creation and inspiration behind the pop culture brand tokidoki, featuring co-founders Simone Legno and Pooneh Mohajer.
– F. C. Yee on “Water, Earth, Fire, Air: Continuing the Avatar Legacy”: Creators and writers of Avatar, The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra come together for an exploration of the beloved world.

In addition to the panels, there will be author signings throughout the convention. Mike Maihack, Bill Griffith, John Romero, F. C. Yee, Nidhi Chanani, Laini Taylor, Jim Di Bartolo, and Brandon T. Snider will all be available for signings.
Abrams will also have exclusive items available at SDCC ’23, including limited edition signed copies of Bill Griffith’s “Three Rocks” and F. C. Yee’s “Avatar, The Last Airbender: The Legacy of Yangchen”. There will also be a limited edition boxed set of “The Amazing Spider-Man” and “Captain America” from the MY MIGHTY MARVEL FIRST BOOK series, featuring artwork by Jack Kirby and John Romita Sr.
