Groom Assaulted by Bride’s Family for Hiding Baldness
A video of a humorous incident in Bihar’s Gaya district has gone viral on social media platforms. The groom, who was bald, was beaten up by the bride’s family at the wedding ceremony after they discovered he was wearing a wig to hide his baldness. The video shows the bride’s family assaulting and verbally abusing the groom, who pleads for mercy with folded hands. Despite his pleas, the family continues to attack him.
The incident took place in Bajaura village of Gaya district, where the groom had arrived for his second marriage. He had worn a wig under his traditional headdress, known as ‘Sehra’, in an attempt to deceive the bride and her family. However, they noticed something was off and became suspicious. One family member tugged on his hair, revealing the wig and his bald head. This enraged the bride’s family, who started verbally abusing and thrashing the groom. Despite the intervention of some of the wedding guests, the assault continued.
According to reports, the groom was still married to his first wife and had hidden this information from his second bride’s family. This deception added fuel to the fire, as the relatives accused him of duping them. It is important to note that while hiding such crucial information is wrong, it does not justify the torture and assault the groom faced.
