Saturday’s Powerball Jackpot Reaches $875 Million while Mega Millions Shoots to a Whopping $640 Million

The Mega Millions top prize is now estimated at $640 million after no one won the latest huge jackpot.

The numbers drawn on Friday night were: 10, 24, 48, 51, 66, and the gold Mega Ball 15.

Four tickets nationwide matched all five white balls without the Mega Ball, including two tickets sold in California (one in Los Angeles and one in Monrovia). The California prize was $202,248. The five-of-five ticket sold in South Carolina had an optional multiplier and was worth $2 million.

Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is estimated at $875 million, which is the third-highest it has ever been.

The next drawing for the estimated $640 million Mega Millions jackpot will have the option of an annuity paid over 29 years. However, most grand prize winners choose a cash payout, which is estimated at $328 million for Tuesday night’s drawing.

According to Mega Millions, this jackpot is the seventh largest in the history of the game.

Despite the long odds of 1 in 302.6 million, players continue to buy tickets as the grand prize keeps growing.

The last time a player won the Mega Millions top prize was on April 18.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states, as well as in Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
