There may have been cases when people failed to find a ‘special one’ on dating apps like
Tinder and
Bumble. They may now have another app for meeting someone.
Elon Musk has invited people to use Twitter to find dates.
“Deleted all dating apps. Decided to try to meet someone the old-fashioned way: God making a woman out of my rib,” a user tweeted. In response,
Musk said that the person can try finding someone on Twitter.
“Try meeting someone on this platform. Many have,” he wrote.
“Oh, I know that better than most. I heartily second the recommendation for everyone else. You can meet your partner here, friends, anything under the sun,” the original user said.
Musk’s response gathered much response while one claiming that he met his fiance on Twitter. “Yep. Met my fiance @BMT094 on here,” another posted, “You can learn more about a person from their Twitter than any dating app could ever teach you.”
Musk also likes the idea of
Twinder. In May, in response to a tweet suggesting a dating app ‘Twinder’, Musk said, “Interesting idea, maybe jobs too.”
Twitter competitor Threads
Musk has been promoting the micro-blogging platform lately. Recently,
Meta launched Threads last week to compete with Twitter.
“You will get more laughs from this app than everything else combined,” Musk had said. In a separate tweet, he posted, “You are free to be your true self here.”
Twitter CEO
Linda Yaccarino recently tweeted, “There’s only ONE Twitter. You know it. I know it.”
“The Everything App”
Soon after his takeover, Musk said that he wants to make Twitter an everything app where people can do multiple things. He outlined the ingredients needed to make Twitter “The Everything App”, including advertising as entertainment, video, encrypted DMs, long-form tweets, and payments.
