A livestreamed video has revealed the chilling moments leading up to a man being found dead after an overnight siege.
Daniel Whelan, 29, died during the siege in the small town of Bowenfels, near Lithgow, on Monday after he and his partner Ursula Saunders, 20, barricaded themselves inside overnight.

The siege began about 12.15pm on Sunday when police attended the home over reports the couple were fighting, and were told the man had a firearm.
Officers spoke briefly with the pair from a distance before the couple retreated inside, locked the doors and refused to come out.
Police cordoned off the home, locked down neighbouring streets, stopped trains running between Lithgow and Bathurst and called in negotiators and the Tactical Operations Unit.
At about 4.20pm, shots were fired at police from inside the home, and police returned fire.
No one was injured during this time and police continued to try and engage the pair in conversations overnight, to no avail.
However, during the siege Saunders took to social media to live stream on Facebook.
In the video she appears emotional as she reassures friends and family that she was OK.
“I am sitting behind a stack of rice with the dogs because I am hiding from the police who have shot through my house,” she says.
“I am not scared of my partner. I love him very dearly.”
However, just before 8.50am on Monday, Saunders emerged from the property prompting police to enter the home, where they found Whelan.
“The female came out of the house with a firearm and surrendered that to police,” Acting Assistant Commissioner Scott Tanner told reporters.
“The female is
