The report stated that Campbell, who previously headed the Department of Human Services, was responsible for an unlawful program. It also criticized her for not taking appropriate action when presented with evidence of the program’s illegality. While the Department of Defence has not commented on Campbell’s future, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese expressed confidence that immediate action would be taken. Campbell has not responded to media requests for comment.
