Almost an Hour-Long Police Pursuit in Western Sydney Culminates in Car Chase Ending Today

A car chase in Western Sydney has come to a dramatic end after police pursued the driver for almost an hour.

The vehicle was initially spotted on the Hume Highway at Prestons on Thursday morning, and was later spotted on Windsor Rd heading towards Parramatta.

It had been reportedly driving dangerously for almost an hour and at several points in the pursuit, the vehicle was seen driving on the wrong side of the road.

PolAir tracked the pair, who were also pursued by at least six police vehicles.

Two people were inside the vehicle, which has Queensland number plates.

The chase ended when the car crashed into a pole on North Rocks Road at North Rocks just after 11am.

The male driver and female passenger were then arrested by police and taken to Ryde Police Station.
