Former American Idol star and Grammy-winning singer Tori Kelly has been rushed to hospital after reportedly collapsing over dinner at a restaurant in Los Angeles.
The star – who appeared on the ninth season of American Idol in 2010 and went on to win a Grammy in 2019 – was eating with friends when her heart started beating rapidly, TMZ reported.
A source close to the performer told the publication that she passed out “for a while” and was rushed to hospital, where she received treatment for blood clots around her vital organs.

The source said the situation is “really serious”.
Kelly was reportedly taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, which offers “world-class” care from “expert physicians”.
TMZ reported that clots had been found in her legs and lungs.
Medics are reportedly ascertaining whether she has any clots around her heart.
Kelly has been in the music industry for a long time, having grown up in a musical family and having the ability to play multiple instruments.
YouTube helped her to become a star, as she had fans even before she secured a big record deal.
