Trump is currently facing a criminal investigation for his attempts to overturn the 2020 election results in Fulton County, Georgia. These false accusations made Moss and Freeman targets of conspiracy theories and racist death threats that forced them to hide their identities. Giuliani had falsely claimed that Moss handed her mother a thumb drive resembling drugs, when in reality, it was just a ginger mint.
