Gold Logie nominee Sonia Kruger is not only known for her glamorous appearance and dancer’s physique, but also for her renowned roles on various Australian TV shows. Despite her busy schedule hosting popular programs like The Voice Australia, Big Brother, and Dancing With the Stars, she still manages to find time for self-care. In an interview with 7Life, she shared her secrets to staying in shape and maintaining a red carpet-ready look.
Sonia revealed that she is not a big breakfast person and only has one cup of coffee in the morning. For lunch, she usually has a late meal around 2pm, opting for a protein-based salad in the summer and Vietnamese pho in the winter. She prefers to stick to her favorite meals and snacks, which include almonds, walnuts, macadamia nuts, and yogurt. She also mentioned that she tries to have dinner early, after her daughter comes home from school.
When it comes to exercise, Sonia created an at-home dance-based fitness app called Strictly You. She believes that dancing feels more like fun than exercise and recommends doing 30 minutes of dancing at home, where you can be yourself and enjoy the music. Additionally, she sees a physiotherapist once or twice a week for weight training, primarily to address dance-related injuries.
While Sonia has a glam squad to help her look fabulous on TV, she prefers to keep it natural when she’s at home. She mentioned that even without makeup, people still recognize her in public places. At home, she keeps her beauty routine simple, focusing on sunscreen and lip balm to let her hair and skin breathe.
