‘Purist’ S/T Marks 60 Years of Porsche’s Iconic 911

Porsche is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its iconic 911 model with a new variant called the 911 S/T. Only 1963 examples of the vehicle will be produced, with a limited number available in Australia. The starting price for the S/T is $660,500, with an additional $36,760 for the Heritage Design Package. Unlike the 911 GT3 RS, the focus of the development of the 911 S/T has been on road use rather than track use. The S/T features a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six engine with 386kW of power, and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Its 0-100km/h claim is 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 300km/h. The S/T is the lightest member of the 992 generation, weighing just 1380kg. It includes various lightweight components, such as carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) parts. Notable features include a Gurney flap on the rear spoiler, 20-inch front and 21-inch rear magnesium wheels, and a classic green instrument cluster. The Heritage Design Package pays homage to the 911 S racing version from the late 1960s and early 1970s, and adds exclusive exterior finishes and classic-design Porsche crests. Additionally, Porsche is offering a limited edition timepiece called Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T, featuring a rotor in the shape of the car’s magnesium wheel. The watch is priced at $21,041.
