Call of Duty fans are eagerly anticipating the launch of Warzone Season 5. Warzone Season 5 is set to release on August 2nd for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Players will be able to dive into the new content at 5pm BST UK time. Of course, before you can begin playing, you’ll need to download and install the massive new update. Patch notes will be provided by Express Online once the download is available.
The highlight of Warzone Season 5 is the introduction of the Vondel Champions Quest. This quest will be accessible to squads on a five-match winning streak within Mini Battle Royale during the Season 5 launch window.
Similar to the Al Mazrah quest, squads will be tasked with constructing the M.G.B, but with a few notable differences. According to Activision, all elements must be kept and not dropped, which now applies to any Champion’s Quest. Dropping an element will require it to be recaptured to continue the quest.
Fans will also need to capture three new elements: Gallium, which reveals nearby team members who previously held it; Deuterium, which tires out Operators; and Neptunium, which periodically electrocutes nearby Operators.
In addition, new vehicles will be introduced in Battle Royale and DMZ, and details for the Call of Duty 2023 reveal event will be announced. The Season 5 Battle Pass offers a mix of free items and Premium BlackCell rewards. The main reward is a new Operator named Arthur, accompanied by a canine companion named Merlin.
The BlackCell Battle Pass also features the Tracer weapon blueprint, a new taking gun screen, 1,100 Call of Duty Points, vehicle skins, and more.
