John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have always been open about their lives together, and now they are offering a glimpse into their new Beverly Hills residence. The couple, who recently sold their previous mansion formerly owned by Rihanna, are inviting readers to explore their newly-renovated space in the global September issue of Architectural Digest (AD).
The cover features the couple posing with three of their children, Luna, Miles, and Esti, in the spacious property that was redesigned by architect and interior designer Jake Arnold. Arnold, known for his work with celebrities like Katy Perry, Rashida Jones, and Aaron Paul, has also previously worked on Legend’s recording studio.
Teigen mentioned in the cover story that they are always open to new homes or changing the current one, with Legend adding that they are not afraid of switching things up. The couple was drawn to their new home’s light and airy atmosphere, in contrast to their previous “darker” and “cloistered” residence. They specifically wanted to create a magical space for their children.
Arnold adapted his expertise with soft and elevated neutrals to match the couple’s taste, incorporating elements with a little glam and fun into the design. The couple’s preference for romantic and feminine design is evident throughout the open-plan house, with blush and gilt accents, sinuous furniture, and sculptural chandeliers. Arnold also emphasized curved forms throughout the home, replacing angular features with rounded silhouettes.
In the kids’ bedrooms, Arnold amplified the colors with a lofted pink and lavender paradise for Luna and a safari-themed space for Miles. Both rooms are designed to evolve as the children grow up.
Overall, the couple’s new residence reflects their personalities and offers a warm and welcoming sanctuary for their family.
