The Italian designer fashion house first debuted its take on the humble ballerina-inspired flat in 2016, and it didn’t take long for the satin-covered fabric to be on every Pinterest board from Milan and Dubai to Sydney and Melbourne.

There are eight different designs to choose from – various colours, some with diamantes and others with larger bows on the toe – as well as a staggering amount of sizes, from a US 4 to a US 10.5.

Miu Miu described its smooth leather ballet flats online as exuding “delicate beauty”.
“Decorated at the toe with a dainty bow, these shoes speak to the brand’s romantic approach to design,” the brand states.
While Amazon’s version isn’t made from the same expensive leather, they are crafted from an extremely soft thermoplastic rubber so you won’t be looking for a Band-Aid minutes after slipping into them.

Those who have already purchased them have noticed the similarities, calling them “almost identical” to their designer counterparts.
“Fits me exactly! I am a size seven. The pink colour is the perfect shade of pink and the same silk material that ballerina pointe shoes would have. I wouldn’t change anything,” one woman wrote in an online review.
