New addition to the Swaraj brand: Mahindra & Mahindra introduces innovative wheel harvester

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M Ltd) introduced a new wheel harvester under the Swaraj brand in the domestic market. The company aims to aggressively tap into the farm mechanisation market in the country. The Chief Executive Officer at Swaraj Division, Harish Chavan, stated that the brand is targeting a 15-20 per cent market share in the wheel harvester segment in the long-term. The new ‘Swaraj 8200 Wheel Harvester’ is manufactured at the company’s farm machinery facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. It will be available through dealerships nationwide from the upcoming crop season. Chavan commented that mechanisation in the harvesting space is still growing, and they want to actively participate in this segment. With the tractor industry experiencing significant growth, the agri mechanisation sector is also expanding rapidly. Chavan stated that they want to leverage this opportunity, which is why they are launching the new wheel harvester. The ‘Swaraj 8200 Wheel Harvester’ comes equipped with a fuel-efficient, in-house TREM-IV compliant engine and technologically advanced features. It offers real-time information to machine owners, including live location tracking, business parameters tracking, and fuel consumption data. This facilitates better decision-making and operational efficiency. The harvester also provides vehicle service and health alerts, AdBlue level indicators, and engine alerts for real-time monitoring. Hemant Sikka, President Farm Equipment Sector-M&M Ltd, stated that the introduction of the ‘Swaraj 8200 Wheel Harvester’ is a significant step towards their strategic focus on farm machinery and will drive exponential growth in this sector.
