Zendaya Expresses Support for Mural Commemorating Angus Cloud

Zendaya recently displayed her appreciation for a mural dedicated to the late “Euphoria” actor Angus Cloud.

The Emmy winner shared a photo of the mural on her Instagram Story on Wednesday. The mural, located in Cloud’s hometown of Oakland, California, features a portrait of him with the words “Long live” above his name and “We love you” above the portrait. Local artist Darin Balaban, with the assistance of those close to Cloud, created the mural. KPIX-TV, the CBS affiliate in San Francisco, reported.

Cloud, known for his role as Fez on HBO’s “Euphoria,” passed away on July 31 at the age of 25.

Zendaya joins other members of the “Euphoria” cast in paying tribute to Cloud since his death was announced last month.

In a heartfelt Instagram post earlier this month, she referred to Cloud as her “brother.”

“I’m incredibly grateful that I had the opportunity to know him in this lifetime, to call him a brother, to witness his warm, kind eyes and bright smile, and to hear his contagious laugh,” she wrote.

Last week, Cloud’s mother Lisa Cloud shared a Facebook post addressing her son’s death, stating that he “did not intend to end his life.” The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

The streaming platform Max has paid tribute to Cloud by including a message at the beginning of the pilot episode and the Season 2 premiere of “Euphoria.” The tribute reads: “In memory of Angus Cloud 1998 – 2023” alongside a black-and-white photo of the actor.
