Air India recently unveiled a new brand identity and aircraft livery as part of its transformation plan since being acquired by the Tata Group over one-and-a-half years ago. The new design incorporates a gold window frame, representing a ‘Window of Possibilities’, and a logo called ‘The Vista’ inspired by the peak of the window frame, symbolizing limitless possibilities and the airline’s confident outlook for the future. The new aircraft livery features deep red, aubergine, and gold highlights, along with a chakra-inspired pattern, and a new custom-made font called ‘Air India Sans’. The rebranding was done in collaboration with FutureBrand. The new logo will be introduced to travelers starting from December 2023. Air India’s transformation plan involves leasing and purchasing new aircraft, as well as refurbishing the interiors of its existing fleet. The first phase of the plan, called ‘Taxi’, has concluded, while the second phase, called ‘Take Off’, is currently in progress.
