The college has offered refunds or transfers to different schools, but some students could still face financial losses due to canceled flights and accommodations. This incident is not the first time international students have been left in limbo by a Toronto school, according to Jaspreet Singh, president of the International Sikh Student Association. He believes this is indicative of a bigger problem and claims that similar situations happen every year in Canada. International students must present their acceptance letter from a designated learning institution to enter Canada and receive a permit to stay in the country for education purposes.
