Teenage Individual Rescued from Burning Vehicle on the Verge of Being Engulfed in Winston Hills

A teenage driver has had a very lucky escape when paramedics and passersby pulled him from the burning wreck of his crashed car moments before it was swallowed by the flames in Sydney’s west.

Paramedics happened to be driving past soon after the 18-year-old clipped another car and crashed on Old Windsor Rd in Winston Hills about 12am on Friday.

The paramedics and other passersby who also spotted the burning Hyundai all stopped to rescue the teen.

They were just in time. Moments later, the vehicle was engulfed by the flames.

The impact of the crash was so forceful that engine parts were found about 40m down the road.

The driver was treated at the scene and taken to Westmead Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured.

Police are investigating whether speed was involved in the crash.
