Fisker, the manufacturer of the Ocean all-electric SUV, has revealed more details and photos of its flagship model, the Ronin. The California-based EV startup describes the Ronin as a Super GT convertible. The car was unveiled during Fisker’s Product Vision Day 2023 event, where other models like the Alaska pickup and Pear were also showcased. The Ronin will have an integrated battery pack, offering a range of 600 miles on a full charge and seating for five people. The vehicle will function as a sports sedan when the folding hardtop is raised, providing a 2-in-1 experience. The roof will be foldable and smartphone activated, retracting into the trunk to create additional luggage space. The Ronin will feature front and rear trunks for extra storage. The doors can be opened remotely via a smartphone, and each side will have a single door handle. The rear butterfly doors will extend when ready to be opened. Only 999 units of the Ronin will be built, each priced at $385,000. The car will be in the same price range as the Bentley Continental GTC Mulliner W12 range-topper. Fisker projects a 0 to 60 mph time of approximately 2 seconds, and a top speed of 170 mph, thanks to over 1,000 horsepower and the use of lightweight materials like aluminum and carbon fiber. Chairman and CEO Henrik Fisker says the Ronin is designed for driving enthusiasts who also appreciate automotive art and design and seek sustainable high-performance vehicles. The interior of the Ronin will feature sustainable luxury materials, with a 17.1-inch high-resolution screen and instrument cluster on the dashboard. Reservations for the Ronin are currently open on Fisker’s website, with a $2,000 deposit for the first pre-order and a fully refundable $1,000 for the second.
