Being completely in sync is not the sisters’ only superpower.
The Sydney-based sisters did the unthinkable and left Colin Fassnidge – the toughest judge to impress – in tears, when they served their late dad’s favourite dish in their instant restaurant.
In a sneak peek at the new season, Radha and Prabha are seen serving up a dish to Colin, Manu and guests.
“We lost our dad when we were two. Every time we cook a dish, it reminds us of him,” the twins explain.
“This is for our dad.”
Their emotional explanation of why they chose the dish they did leaves Colin – and other dinner guests – visibly emotional.
“How am I going to do a critique now?” Colin wonders, smiling through tears.
“I think your dad’s up there, 100 per cent happy tonight,” he adds.
“It had soul, it had love, I was eating it and smiling.”
Back in the kitchen, the twins could be seen hugging.
“We were able to give a joyful tribute to our dad,” they said.
MKR features co-hosts and judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge travelling across the country to meet Australia’s most passionate home cooks.
These are real people, cooking real food, in their own homes – before international superstar Nigella Lawson joins them as a judge at Kitchen HQ.
My Kitchen Rules is coming soon to Channel 7 and 7plus.
