Ola Electric: Ola Electric registers 400% YoY growth in August 2023: Details

Bengaluru-based Ola Electric recently announced it has achieved a YoY growth of over 400% as compared to the corresponding period last year. According to Vahan data, the electric two-wheeler manufacturer registered 19,000 units in August 2023. Ola has maintained a market share of 30 percent during August 2023.
On August 15, 2023, Ola Electric has expanded its S1 scooter portfolio and received more than 75,000 bookings within two weeks of its launch. The company unveiled the second-gen S1 Pro, S1 Air, S1X+, S1X (3kWh), and S1X (2kWh) on the Independence Day. These electric scooters are built on a new Gen-2 platform and are available for bookings at the official website.

Second-gen Ola S1 Pro

Priced at Rs 1,47,499 (ex-showroom), the Gen-2 S1 Pro now sports a twin-fork telescopic front suspension and flat floorboard, offering an enhanced range of 195 km. The e-scooter delivers a top speed of 120 km/h. Purchase window for S1 Pro Gen 2 is now open while deliveries begin mid-September.
Priced at Rs 1,19,999 (ex-showroom), the Ola S1 Air boasts a 3 kWh battery pack, peak motor power of 6kW, a certified range of 151 km, and a top speed of 90 kmph. The deliveries of S1 Air have recently started in more than 100 cities with more to follow soon.

Ola S1 X

As the brand calls it “ICE-killer product”, the Ola S1 X comes in three variants – S1 X+, S1 X (2 kWh), and S1 X (3 kWh). Both S1 X+ and S1 X (3 kWh) uses a 6 kW motor and a 3 kWh battery that gives a range of 151 km, and a top speed of 90 kmph. The S1 X (2kWh) is equipped with a 6 kW motor and a 2 kWh battery, offering a range of 91 km and a top speed of 85 kmph.
The S1 X+ is priced at Rs 1,09,999 and itsdeliveries begin in September. Pre-reservation window of the S1 X range is open at Rs 999. The S1 X (3 kWh) and S1 X (2 kWh) electric scooters are available at a price of Rs 99,999 and Rs 89,999, respectively. Deliveries for the S1 X will begin in December.
Besides, Ola Electric has expanded its manufacturing capacity during this period and its Ola Futurefactory is operational in all three shifts to ramp up production and meet the market demand.
