As we just saw, the first change in the upcoming i20 facelift will be the addition of the new brushed silver Hyundai logo. While the overall design remains largely unchanged, the i20’s front fascia has been revised with an all-new grille, new front bumper design and redesigned LED headlamps that also get a new shape for the LED DRLs. The alloy wheel design can also be expected to be refreshed for the i20 facelift and it will still come with an electric sunroof, presumably in the higher variants.
Other glimpses from the teaser also reveal the that i20 facelift’s interior upholstery will now see an upgrade with a mix of black leatherette and grey fabric with angular patterns and i20 lettering embossed in the middle. The i20 currently competes against other premium hatchbacks, such as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. It is also the only affordable hot hatch left in the Indian market in the i20 N-line avatar since Volkswagen India phased out the Polo GT in 2022. It remains to be seen if Hyundai has also upgraded the infotainment and other gizmos in the i20, to make it more appealing to its fans.
