Shah Rukh Khan’s film Jawan is running rampage at the box office. The film which hit the big screen on Thursday, has already rewritten several records at the box office, including the highest opening day collection for a Hindi film. It isn’t just the action flick, but also the superstar who is registering his name in the record books.
According to reports, Shah Rukh is now all set to become the first Indian actor to earn two 1000 crore moviesin the same year.Jawan, which is currently powering its way to the 500 crore mark in its first week, and is tipped to cross Rs 1000 crore at the box office, making it the actor’s second film to cross the milestone. He earned his first 1000 crore film in January 2023 when his movie Pathaan crossed the milestone.
Although SRK will be the first actor to have two 1000 crore films to his name, director SS Rajamouli was the first to cross this milestone with the release of his films Baahubali 2 and RRR.Jawan witnessed a massive start at the Indian box office and collected Rs 65.50 crores on its opening day. The film minted Rs 129.6 crore at the worldwide box office. This marked the biggest opening day in the history of Indian cinema.
On Day 2, Red Chillies Entertainment, the production house backing the film, announced that the film crossed the Rs 240 crore mark at the international box office. The film also registered the highest Saturday collection of all time with an estimated collection of Rs 67 crore nett at the domestic box office.

Helmed by Atlee, the film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. Actor Deepika Padukone could be seen in a guest appearance role. Apart from this, SRK will be next seen in director Rajkumar Hirani’s next film ‘Dunki’ opposite Taapsee Pannu. The official release date of ‘Dunki’ is still awaited.
