Following the super success of the Atlee directorial, writer Sumit Arora revealed in an interview with Showsha that he was initially very sceptical about the ‘chahiye to Alia Bhatt’ dialogue in the film. However, he shared that Shah Rukh was quite insistent on adding the line. According to the superstar, the dialogue would connect with the audience. Sumit admitted that it indeed worked. The writer said that he watched the film at various theatres and he saw people chuckling to that line.
In the same interview, Arora added that he wanted to include the dialogue ‘Jab main villain banta hu na toh mere saamne koi hero nahi tikta’ in the same sequence as a tribute to Shah Rukh Khan’s villainous turns over the years. According to him, it felt like a correct moment to say that line because of Shah Rukh’s history of playing those negative-shade lead characters in ‘Darr’, ‘Don’and ‘Baazigar’. It’s a hat tip to those characters. He also added that people have actually loved him a lot in those characters. So he felt that was a line that he couldn’t have missed writing.
It’s worth noting that both Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan expressed their fondness for Alia in a recent advertisement for a spice brand.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Atlee has revealed that he is planning to surprise fans by adding a new cut in the OTT release of ‘Jawan’.
