Cops seek to identify two men in downtown Toronto stabbing, robbery

Police are trying to track down and identify two men wanted in a violent overnight stabbing and robbery in the downtown core over the weekend.

Toronto Police responded on Sunday at 3 a.m. to reports of a stabbing in the Adelaide-Simcoe Sts. area in the Entertainment District.

Police say two male victims in their 20s were allegedly assaulted by a group of men. One victim was able to run away eastbound on Adelaide St. W., where he was chased by two assailants. Cops say the men caught up to the victim and produced knives before demanding the victim’s jewelry and threatening him. Cops say the victim was stabbed, kicked and punched multiple times and his jewelry was stolen.

During the attack on the first victim, police said the second victim was stabbed and had items taken from him as well.

The assailants fled the area.

The two victims were transported to hospital. One has since been released from hospital, while the other was being treated and was in stable condition.

Police are looking to identify two of the men involved.

The first is described as a 6-foot male with a medium build, wearing a white tank top, blue jeans, white shoes, a black satchel and a black belt.

The second is described as a 6-foot-1 male with a thin build, brown hair, a beige Nike Tec sweater, a white T-shirt and blue ripped jeans.

Images of the two men have been released. They are considered dangerous.

Police say there are multiple suspects outstanding.
