No one does Halloween quite like Heidi Klum. The model has been dubbed the “Queen of Halloween” thanks to her elaborate costumes, which typically involve multiple prosthetics and a one-of-a-kind ensemble. From transforming into Jessica Rabbit to cloning herself, Klum’s costumes get more creative and intricate every year.
Since 2000, Klum has been hosting her annual Halloween bash, which has a “no costume, no entry” rule to encourage guests to bring their costume A-game. But whether guests go full-out or not, fans have come to anticipate the model’s epic looks every spooky season, which she starts planning a whole year in advance.
“I embrace that title! And I always want to live up to it, year after year. When I moved to America, I immediately fell in love with Halloween and the spookiness of it. All that was missing was a fantastic party. It felt like a real opportunity for me,” Klum told The Hollywood Reporter. She added that she starts thinking about her costume for the following year on Nov. 1. “I usually have two or three ideas that I’m playing with and then I decide on one thing. You have to decide at one point because pieces have to be built and all of that.”
Ahead, we’ve rounded up Heidi Klum’s best Halloween costumes throughout the years.

Heidi Klum as Lady Godiva in 2001
The next year, Klum made quite the entrance by riding into her party on a horse. For a bloody version of Lady Godiva, she wore a white bedazzled bodysuit with white lace-up boots, a long blonde wig, and a crystal headpiece.
Heidi Klum as Betty Boop in 2002
Trading historical figures for cartoon characters, Klum channeled Betty Boop in this all-red costume that included a bodycon dress, gloves, and pumps. She completed the look with a dark curly wig, diamond jewelry, and a pair of extra-long fake lashes to give her eyes a cartoon-like appearance.

Heidi Klum as a Vampire in 2005
Channeling a different creature of the night, Klum fully committed to her vampire costume with long fangs and a black cape, which resembled bat wings. She also sported a black minidress, thigh-high leather boots, and a voluminous black wig.
Heidi Klum as the Forbidden Fruit in 2006
Even being eight months pregnant didn’t stop Klum from serving an epic Halloween look. She went biblical for her 2006 bash, embodying the apple from the Garden of Eden, and accessorized with snakeskin boots, red gloves, and a serpent headpiece.
Heidi Klum as a Cat in 2007
Taking a simpler approach this year, Klum donned a classic black cat costume. The velvet look featured a skintight bodysuit (tail and ears included), platform boots, a studded collar, and, of course, long whiskers.

For her 10th annual bash, Klum switched it up by opting for a crow costume. The fully feathered look featured a black minidress, thigh-high boots, fishnet stockings, and a beak-shaped headpiece.

Leave it to Klum to give a robot costume a colorful upgrade. Dressed in red armor and a purple metallic bodysuit, she finished off the look with purple glittery skin and a red wig.
Heidi Klum as a Human Body in 2011
For one of her spookiest costumes yet, Klum dressed up as an inside-out human body in 2011. This look spared no details, with every muscle and tendon of the body showing in her skintight bodysuit and elaborate face makeup.
Heidi Klum as Cleopatra in 2012
In 2012, Klum hosted her annual Halloween party in December due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. For this event, she donned a Cleopatra costume that included a two-tone gold cape, a crystal headpiece, and bedazzled makeup.
“It took maybe three hours to put my face on and, like, 10 minutes to get dressed,” Klum told People. “The guy that designed the face made little pieces and put them on, and in between, he had to fill in the gaps, so it took a very long time.”
Heidi Klum as an Old Lady in 2013
Complete with wrinkles and varicose veins, Klum’s costume also included a tweed skirt, a pearl necklace, and a black cane.
Heidi Klum as a Butterfly in 2014
Klum took over Times Square in this colorful butterfly costume, which featured Heidi-sized wings and holographic bug eyes. She also donned a sequined bodysuit, matching platform boots, and blue body paint to finish off the detailed look.

Heidi Klum as Jessica Rabbit in 2015
An entirely unrecognizable Klum transformed into Jessica Rabbit, the iconic bombshell from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, in 2015. She sported the character’s signature red sequined dress, purple gloves, a bright red wig, and many prosthetics.
Heidi Klum (and Clones) as Herself in 2016
Will the real Heidi please stand up? Klum portrayed another icon for Halloween in 2016 – herself! Along with five “clones” in prosthetics and matching looks, the group dressed up in nude bodysuits, matching thigh-high boots, and the model’s signature blonde tousled locks.
Heidi Klum as a Werewolf in 2017
In a return to scary costumes, Klum attended her annual event as the werewolf from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video from 1983. Accompanied by an entourage of zombies, she sported the letterman jacket, cuffed jeans, and black loafers from the video.
“It takes a long time to lay the prosthetics but then putting it all together, it took seven hours,” Klum told People. “Michael Jackson was always such an icon and the ‘Thriller’ video is such an iconic video and I was like, ‘I have to redo that.’”

She dressed up as a worm (which took over 10 hours to complete) while her husband was a fisherman with a bloody eye. The model later changed into a sheer embellished bodysuit — but kept her worm face prosthetics on.
