The Volkswagen Taigun GT Edge Trail edition features cosmetic updates over the regular models.The SUV gets special decals on the rear fenders, doors and C-pillars, ‘Trail’ badging, functional roof rails, blacked-out 17-inch alloys, red-finished front brake callipers, blacked-out roof, black-coloured door garnish and ORVMs.
Moving inside, the Trail edition gets black with contrasting red stitching seat upholstery with the “Trail” logo embedded on it. In terms of features, the SUV features a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless phone connectivity and charging, automatic headlamps, a rear camera, TPMS, automatic climate control and much more. Few features such as ventilated and powered front seats, a sunroof, cruise control, a fully digital instrument cluster, all LED headlamps and six airbags will not be offered in the GT Edge Trail edition.
The Trail Edition features a dual dashcam with a 2-inch IPS LCD. The camera features 140-degree wide front camera, loop recording, impact sensor, motion detection, parking monitor, picture capture, playback and low lux recording with 6 IR lights. The SUV also gets puddle lamps with sporty foot-pedals.

As mentioned previously, the GT Edge Trail edition will be available only with a 1.5-litre TSI. This engine puts out 148 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed manual only, DSG will not be offered. The GT Edge Trail Edition will be offered in Carbon Steel Grey, Reflex Silver and Candy White colour options.
