Burger chain In-N-Out has more plans to take its famous double-double and animal-style fries beyond California — this time to New Mexico.

On Tuesday, the California-based fast-food chain announced that In-N-Out is headed to Albuquerque, and expects to open a restaurant by 2027.

“We’re excited to share that we will be fully in the Four Corners, serving our Customers in New Mexico, by 2027! ” read the Instagram post signed by In-N-Out owner and president Lynsi Snyder. “It’s an exciting day for our Company, the In-N-Out Family and our Customers. Stay tuned for more details. We’re looking forward to serving quality burgers, fries, and shakes in Albuquerque, NM! #innout”

In a statement to the Albuquerque Journal, Snyder called the expansion to New Mexico “an important milestone” after customers begged the chain to open stores in their communities. “It was only a matter of when, once we had the infrastructure and support in place,” Snyder told the outlet. “I’m excited that our customers won’t have to travel to a nearby state for an In-N-Out Burger for much longer.”

Beyond California, In-N-Out has several restaurants across Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Utah and Texas. The latest Bay Area In-N-Out location opened in Santa Rosa this summer.
