Anmol Singh Jaggi, CEO and Co-founder, BluSmart, said “We will continue to work towards building a business that benefits both people and the planet. Initiatives such as these are vital to incentivize environmentally conscious practices and promote sustainable lifestyle through market based mechanisms.”
The company, at present, operates over 5,000 EVs in two urban megacities of India – Delhi NCR and Bengaluru.
Electric ride-hailing cabs contribute to a reduction in carbon emissions primarily through their zero-tailpipe emission feature, minimizing the release of harmful pollutants into the atmosphere. This shift to electric vehicles decreases the overall carbon footprint of the transportation sector, thereby mitigating the environmental impact and improving air quality in urban areas, especially when pollution is becoming a big concerning issue in Northern India lately.
