It’s section championship week across the Bay Area, with winners moving on to next week’s regionals and the runners-up calling it a season.
Joseph Dycus, Mike Lefkow and I made 10 more picks, including the Division I final in the North Coast Section between Pittsburg and San Ramon Valley and the Central Coast Section between Los Gatos and Wilcox.
Both of those and many others were tough calls, as they should be at this time of the season.
Lefkow on Los Gatos-Wilcox: “It will go right down to the wire again. These are two good teams. They both have excellent coaches. They know each other real well. I wouldn’t be surprised if you get another three-point game that’s decided in the final seconds.”
Dycus on Pittsburg-SRV, “I’ve got Pittsburg winning this game. I don’t think it will be super high-scoring. I think it will be 28-27.”
