Casalux Solar LED street light recalls from ALDI stores over fire concerns

A popular Special Buys light product has been recalled from ALDI stores over concerns it may cause a fire.

The Casalux Solar LED street light has been recalled because the internal batteries can overheat while charging.

Incidents have occurred in which the batteries have exploded, melted and caught fire.

If the batteries overheat and catch fire, there is a serious risk of property damage, serious injury or death.

Products with the model number WFD-SPL004 have been included in the recall. This number is located on the compliance label under the solar panel.

The product was sold nationally from September 23 to October 27.

Customers should immediately stop using the light and return it in-store at ALDI for a full refund.
