Arsenal star Kai Havertz has claimed that Gabriel Jesus is the best striker he has played with in his career so far.
The German spent three years at Chelsea before joining us in the summer. He played with some great attackers there, but if he had to name the best striker he has shared the pitch with, he says it’s Jesus.
Kai Havertz says Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus is the best striker he has ever played with
Arsenal signed Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City last year.
The Brazilian instantly helped us become title contenders in his debut season here. He was absolutely incredible for us in the first half of last campaign, and he has been really good this term as well.
Kai Havertz has watched and played against Jesus before, but he has had the chance to see the 26-year-old at the training ground every day over the last few months.
That has convinced him that Jesus is the best striker he has ever played with, which is a huge compliment considering the German has shared the dressing room with world-class forwards like Romelu Lukaku and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang before.
When asked where Jesus ranks as a striker, Havertz told Football Daily: “I think I have to say he’s the best, I knew this before as well, but now I see it in every training session.

“It’s an honour to play with players like this. You saw the quality against Sevilla, what he did on the pitch was amazing, and I think he’s one of these players who can turn a game around himself, and yeah, I think he’s the best.”
Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus can score 20 goals this season
Gabriel Jesus often gets criticised because of his lack of goals.
The Brazilian is by no means a striker like Erling Haaland, but he is still more than capable of scoring over 20 goals in all competitions every season.
The biggest problem for Jesus has been his availability. He has missed 27 games for club and country due to injuries since he joined us last year, which is way too many.
If Jesus can stay fit from now until the end of the season, we are absolutely convinced he will score 20 goals – he has already scored five this term. Whether he can stay away from injuries, however, is anybody’s guess.
