Microsoft is upgrading its Copilot AI to OpenAI’s newest AI models – GPT-4 Turbo and DALL-E 3. There is also a new code interpreter coming and it is also enabling deep search within Bing, powered by the GPT-4 model.
With the integration of OpenAI’s GPT-4 Turbo model, Copilotwill be able to provide better responses by “seeing” more data through a 128K context window. In simpler terms, the current model can accept a maximum of 50 pages of text input, while GPT-4 Turbo can handle up to 300 pages. This larger context window will enable Copilot to better understand queries and offer more accurate responses. Currently, the model is being tested with select users and will be widely integrated into Copilot in the coming weeks.
The Bing Image Creator and Copilot are being upgraded with the DALL-E 3 model. The chatbot will now produce images that match the prompt more often than before, so users can create even higher-quality images that are more accurate to the prompt. The updated DALL-E 3 model is already available for Copilot users.
Copilot can now rewrite texts and code, too
The Inline Compose tool within the Copilot now has a rewrite menu that lets you select text, and the bot will rewrite it for you. This feature is coming soon to all Edge users. You can also use Copilot in Microsoft Edge to summarise videos.
Microsoft has introduced a new feature for Copilot users that will provide them with more accurate calculations, data analysis, and code. The AI chatbot will write code to answer complex natural-language requests, run it in a sandboxed environment, and use the results to provide higher-quality responses. Additionally, users can upload and download files to and from Copilot, allowing them to work with their own data and code as well as Bing search results.
Search ‘deep’ on Bing
Bing Search is receiving an upgrade. With GPT-4 integration, the search engine will enable users to conduct more comprehensive search queries for complex topics with optimised results. So how does it work? The search engine simultaneously searches for multiple variations of the query, automatically filtering out irrelevant information, which will deliver more relevant results.
