A desperate search has been launched for a toddler NSW Police say was abducted from a family member at Coffs Harbour on Friday afternoon.
Authorities issued an amber alert for two-year-old Jax Wilson, who is believed to have been taken by a man and woman known to him on Little St just after 2pm.

“Police will allege the family member Jax was with was assaulted by the couple before he was taken,” police said in a statement.
The man and woman were seen driving a black 1996 Volkswagen Golf with Victorian registration OAH707 but further information to police suggests they could also be in a white van with the Victorian number plate PJJ033
“The NSW Police Force is seeking urgent public assistance to help locate (Jax),” authorities said.
“Police have been told the child… was taken by a woman and a man known to him.”
The boy is described as 70cm tall with blonde hair, a fair complexion and blue eyes.
Jax was wearing brown shorts and a colourful shirt.
Anyone with information should contact police as a matter of urgency.
