Man’s reckless stunts on speeding auto knocks off cyclist on Delhi’s Signature Bridge

Yet another bizarre incident of hooliganism on public roads has emerged from Delhi. In a video that is going viral on social media, a man can be seen hanging outside of an auto rickshaw, performing stunts on the iconic Signature Bridge that spans over Yamuna river, connecting Wazirabad to East Delhi. The Signature Bridge is a major roadway in the capital, and as can be seen in the video, is a pretty busy route.
However, that certainly does not stop this auto driver who can be seen speeding the vehicle, driving in a zig-zag manner, and passing vehicles from merely inches away.But that is not even the worst part! There is a man who is hanging outside the speeding auto, performing stunts and waving passerbys! Unfortunately, an innocent cyclist becomes a victim of this foolish act, and is knocked off his cycle on to the road by the man hanging outside the auto.

After hitting the cyclist and knocking him off, the auto driver does not bother to stop the vehicle, and continues to flee the scene, while the person hanging out of the auto can still be seen performing stunts despite causing the crash. Delhi Traffic Police was able to trace the auto rickshaw with its number plate and hence, nab the perpetrator soon.
“The auto rickshaw in question and its driver Shiva of Ghaziabad have been traced by traffic personnel of the TPR Circle,” a senior official of the Delhi Traffic Police said. It was also revealed that a challan has been issued against the driver for dangerous driving, driving without a valid license, under appropriate sections of the Motor Vehicles Act, with the auto having been impounded.
