The Telugu pan India film ‘Salaar’ was released in theatres on December 22. Directed by Prahsanth Neel, the mass action film stars Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan in lead roles and the music for the film is composed by Ravi Basrur. The movie has received a great response from fans and it has been performing well at the box office since its release.
The movie in 4 days has grossed over Rs 400 crore at the box office, roughly contributing Rs 100 per day.On Christmans, December 25, the film managed to make Rs 40 crore at the box office and it is a great start to the first Monday after the release of the film. The film is expected to perform well in the Christmas holidays till next week and the movie might gross Rs 1000 crore at the box office globally before New Years’.

The first part, of Kannada origin has been released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. And the film following RRR, and KGF 2, has joined the list of South movies that is doing well in the Hindi market as well.
The sequel of the movie is titled ‘Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam’ and the film is said to go on grounds next year and it will be released in theatres in 2025.
