Xiaomi confirms HyperOS roll out in India, update coming for these devices

Xiaomi has started teasing the HyperOS in India, confirming that the new OS will soon be rolled out for devices in the country. HyperOS will be rolling out to two devices in India starting this month, Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 6.
This announcement comes after the company’s recent statement that HyperOS will be available for Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco phones globally, starting from Q1 2024.The CMO of Xiaomi India stated that 2024 will be a significant year for Xiaomi India, with a lot of exciting developments coming up. In a recent tweet, he asked, “By the way, do you know why ’24 is important for Xiaomi India?”
Xiaomi has developed an “human-centric” operating system called HyperOS, which powers all of the company’s personal devices, including smartphones, cars, and home products. This operating system offers a new user interface that aims to achieve four major goals: low-level refactoring, cross-end intelligent connectivity, proactive intelligence, and end-to-end security.
HyperOS is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and comes with Android 14. Meanwhile, for its suite of smart devices, the HyperOS is built on top of Xiaomi Vela open-source system. Xiaomi promises that HyperOS will offer stable performance even in resource-intensive scenarios.
HyperConnect allows users to control all connected devices from anywhere, which is especially useful for smart homes. HyperMind AI is integrated into the system, which enables devices to be proactive by learning user needs. The platform also includes large foundation models that empower third-party apps with advanced features. The HyperOS offers dedicated hardware TEE and end-to-end encryption. This ensures that all user data stays safe and secure at all times.
Xiaomi’s HyperOS has begun rolling out globally to replace MIUI. The new operating system powers Xiaomi’s ecosystem of personal devices, including smartphones, cars, and AIoT home products. HyperOS is available for nine devices, including Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Redmi Note 12, Xiaomi Pad 6, and Poco F5.
