OnePlus Ace 3 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage launched in China

OnePlus has announced the Ace 3, the company’s latest smartphone in the Ace series, in China. The Ace 3 comes with a 1.5K 120Hz display, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and a 50MP camera. Here’s all you need to know about the OnePlus Ace 3.
OnePlus Ace 3: Price, availability
The Ace 3 is available in three storage configurations – 12GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. The 12GB+256GB model is priced at CNY 2599 (approximately Rs. 30,000), the 16GB+512GB model is priced at CNY 2999 (around Rs. 35,000), and the 16GB+1TB model is priced at CNY 3,499 (around Rs. 41,000).
The smartphone is available for pre-orders and will go on sale in China from January 8.
OnePlus Ace 3 will make its global debut globally, including in India, under the name OnePlus 12R on January 23rd.

OnePlus Ace 3 features an aluminium frame with a frosted glass back. There is a circular camera island on the back that blends into the side frame. Additionally, the Ace 3 has the three-stage alert slider, which is on the left side now. OnePlus Ace 3 comes in Gold, Cool Blue, and Iron Gray colours.
The Ace 3 boasts a 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE X1 AMOLED curved at the edges. The display has a resolution of 1240×2772 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz. The display can reach up to 1,600 nits of brightness in auto mode, while having a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and features a punch-hole cutout for the 16MP front-facing camera.
OnePlus Ace 3 has a triple camera setup on the back led by the 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS. The other two cameras in the setup are an 8MP ultrawide unit and a 2MP macro camera.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is powering the smartphone. It is paired with 12/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone runs ColorOS 14, which is based on Android 14. The Ace 3 is backed up by a 5,500mAh, supporting 100W SuperVOOC fast charging, allowing for a full 0-100% charge in just 27 minutes. It has the same Tiangong cooling system with a 9140mm² VC vapour chamber as the OnePlus 12.
