But on Sunday evening, the Hulkster played the hero in a much different way.

Hulk Hogan – real name Terry Bollea – reportedly was driving with wife Sky Daily and a friend when the group witnessed a horrific car accident on a highway in Clearwater, Fla.

According to a report published by TMZ, a car “erratically swerved across the lanes to catch an exit it was about to miss and, in the process … clipped another car, which our sources say flipped over and tumbled.”

That was when Hogan and his friend Jake – who reportedly is a U.S. marine – jumped into action.

The crew pulled over immediately and, being among the first people at the scene, helped the driver out of the flipped car and rendered aid.

The woman, 17, was rattled by the accident, during which the airbag deployed.

According to TMZ’s sources, “Jake popped the woman’s airbag with some tools that Hulk had on hand,” and then “they both unbuckled her seatbelt and assisted her in safely leaving the vehicle.”

We apologize, but this video has failed to load.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and the woman involved in the accident appeared to be OK.

While Hogan played the bad guy for large portions of his in-ring career and has been involved in several controversies outside of the squared circle, the 70-year-old star has made efforts to turn his life around.

Last year, he admitted to giving up alcohol and called getting baptized in December the “greatest day of my life.”

Just don’t expect to see him delivering any big boots or leg drops anymore.
